MEPs Vajgëll, Flekstajn and Kukan today in Skopje
In the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, the 13th Conference of the Parliamentary Committees for European Affairs and Integration of the countries involved with the Stabilization and Association Process from SEE - Kosap will be held today.
The invited speakers of the conference are the trio of MEPs Ivo Vajgëll, Knut Flekshtein and Eduard Kukan.
The conference has two sessions, for the Western European Perspectives of the Western Balkans and the rule of law in the Western Balkans.
Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi will speak at the opening, while Eurosport ambassadors Samuel Zbogar, Christian Vigenin, chair of the Committee on European Affairs and Controls of European Funds, the US Ambassador in Kosovo Macedonia Jesse Bejli, as well as Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Justice, Nikola Dimitrov and Bylent Saliji.
The organizer is the Parliamentary Commission for European Affairs. Commission Chairman Artan Grubi says the conference is held between the publication of the Strategy for the Western Balkans by the EC after the visit of EU President Jean-Claude Junker in Macedonia to make some kind of pressure for Macedonia to receive a positive report on progress and clear recommendation for beginning of EU membership talks.
